At Cultivate Holland, our number one goal is to grow your business and fight poverty. We are focused on providing tools for businesses to implement best practices not only for the business community but for new entrepreneurs as well. Our Seminar Series are held in the Maas Center at Hope College on Columbia Ave. just south of 10th St. The sessions include a facilitative portion where you’ll learn the importance of marketing, company branding, and identifying your competition. Another portion of each session will include a guest speaker/business owner who will be discussing real world examples of the evening’s current topic. What to expect from your sessions: They will begin promptly at 5:30pm with hor d’orvers provided during a time of networking and from 6:00 to 7:00pm for the main speaker. In March it is our pleasure to introduce you to Mr. Jim Sullivan, Executive VP Quaker Oats (Ret.). We will provide you with a balance of proven content and discuss real world problems and solutions that will help you become more productive. Why Us?
We are the first non-profit organization in Holland that is exclusively committed to eliminating poverty by creating jobs where none existed before. While some subscribe to the concept of teaching a person to fish rather than giving them fish to eat, our concept is to provide the pond for them to fish in. As my grandpa used to say…”you can lead a horse to the pond but you can’t make him fish.” While grandpa was excellent at mixing metaphors, we are excellent in coaching and mentoring existing entrepreneurs and those wanting to create a new business. This intensive training has been proven to increase business productivity which in turn creates new jobs. These newly created jobs will reduce poverty in Holland and beyond.
